29.6.05Ru Hann, you owe me a drink.Seven out of thirty-eight passed that fucking exam. SEVEN measly people. Pretty obvious where I fit in. *grumble*grumble*25.6.05I didn't change the layout because I wanted to. I HAD to. Stupid blogger was doing some funkymagic thing to my posts. It kept creating blank <'div><'/div> spaces before and after each post. I don't know why. So I had to make up another template and it seems to be working fine now. *bah*He exclaimed "WOAH, first time the house so clean!". Thanks Dad! I vacuumed and cleaned for 2 hours before he arrived. And for the first time in a few years, I decided to look up while cleaning and realised that my home has become a spider haven. Seriously, I have never cleaned up so much cobweb in my life. I hate cobweb. On a brighter note, I am now a proud owner of the Shuffle. No more sleepy, boring work days. No more missing my train stop.
Thank YOU! *winks* 25.6.05Steamboat...*yummies* Brings back memories of when I was younger, and every now and then, the extended family would gather together for a steamboat dinner. Adults on one table, kids on another. The kids would keep themselves entertained with anything imaginable. Origami with the paper napkins, 'who-stole-the-cookie-from-the-cookie-jar?', hand slapping games etc.Chew finally turned 24 on the 22nd of June. And steamboat we had. *yum* Missing the quail eggs I love so much though! *hehe*
"Happiness is no laughing matter." - RICHARD WHATELY20.6.05You know, sometimes people make decisions that we don't understand. Decisions that we don't agree with. That's just the way the world works. No one of us is the puppet master. We can't control how people think or act. What we have control over is the way we deal with those decisions. We can choose to not accept them and go through life being bitter about it. Or, we can accept them and move on. Somehow, the first choice almost always seems to be the instinctive choice. When you're hurt and angry, being bitter just seems to be the only choice. Can't help but think why we should suffer over someone else's poor judgment. Can't help but wish you would awaken from the crazy nightmare.I can't offer much words of comfort. I feel that there is nothing that I can say that will change the way things are. I've had my own share of "worst time of my life"s and I've never really sought comfort from anyone because it never made the situation any better. I presume that's how you feel too. So I won't try. But I'll say this much. I'm alive. I'm well. And I am potentially happy. And soon, you will be too. Until then, I will lend you a shoulder to cry on, buy you all the soft and absorbent Kleenex tissues you need, sit beside you in silence, and wait for soon to come. 15.6.05
15.6.05In a rather gender confused dream, I was Uzumaki Naruto. Bright yellow hair. Bright orange jumpsuit. My opponent - Uchiha Sasuke. Sasuke was going crazy, releasing the cursed seal and all. I was flying around the place doing my jutsus but getting my ass thrashed badly. Getting punched in the gut and kicked in the face. Kakashi-sensei was there too. Dodging punches, throwing kicks. This morning when I was doing the usual washing my face, brushing my teeth, clearing my throat routine, I coughed up blood. *EEk* Musta been from all that ninja fighting I did last night! *har har* Too much Naruto is driving me a little wonky. Jack wants me to admit myself in some mental institution. I refuse. Kage bunshin no jutsu!!! 12.6.05There's always a first time for everything isn't there? For the first time in 4 years, I missed my train stop. Only by one though. At least I didn't end up in Mt Dandenong or somewhere. Although it was bad enough to end up in Boronia. Super dodgy station I swear. They've got cops patrolling the station platforms. I have this bad habit of falling asleep on the train, on the way home from work. Having to endure a 45 minute train ride 5 days a week isn't easy. I know I should really bring a book or do something productive, but at the end of a 9-5 working day, all I really wanna do is just pass out.I'm an aunt again! My cousin's just given birth to a fat-cheeks baby girlie. She was a huge baby - weighing in at slightly over 10lbs. I was told I was only 8lbs when I was born. Welcome to the world, baby Lille! 4.6.05Celyn's here for a visit. She can't stand the Melbourne cold. She wants to leave earlier than planned. *NOOOO!*Michelle is here for a visit. She's stuck with the Murumbeena psycho boys. Hope you're enjoying yourself. She's heading back to Sydney this Sunday. *NOOO!* Wei Chen is here for a LONG visit. He too is stuck with the Murumbeena madness. He won't be going anywhere for awhile. *YAY!* So, it seems Melbourne's the hot spot right now... just a suggestion for anyone who's planning a holiday. We dragged all our visitors down to Watermark Bar last night for some good, alcoholic fun. And NO, Gavin did not get drunk this time. *pats gav on the back* Poor Jack's hungover right now. Definitely a sign of old age.
