Say hello to the newest member of the jungle I call home. We've got spiders, possums, stray cats, snails, possibly snakes (!! haha) and now this little fat cutey...

Golf?

23.11.05

My manager came up to me a while ago.

"Yo, mel, do you play golf? There's a client golf event in December."
"err... kinda hard since the clubs are taller than i am"

O_o.

Today, I get an invite to the Mastercard Masters Event. *doh* And all this while, I thought that I actually had to play! *phew* Well, not with the pros I'm not! The perks of working for a sponsor of an event.

I hate golf. All these grown men, walking after some tiny little white ball, trying to put it into a hole. Driven around in a buggy, and waited on hand and foot by a caddy. Seems rather silly, although I'm sure there's a high level of skill involved. My dad lives, breathes and eats golf, so I guess I can't diss it too much.

Well either way, golf here I come. A day off work to watch golf - can't be too bad eh?

I PASSED!!! I PASSED!!! *jumps up and down* I passed that stupid exam I thought I was going to fail for sure!

Day 366 begins today...

Home Alone

5.11.05

So, I've become a permanent fixture at Watergate for now. Although I won't complain about how convenient it is, I'm starting to miss home already. The apartment's pretty spick and span now. In less than a week! That's pretty impressive I think. Jack's one of those people who can't live with mess. For a guy, he's pretty darn tidy. And that really puts me to shame *hehe* The only fault I can find here so far is the lack of reception for my mobile! *urgh*

Well, I actually just wanted to post a quick one to say HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY to GUY TAN HAI FOOK! Hope you have a good one. Good luck with the industrial training thingamagic!

Really haven't been out much at all lately. With the exception of karaoke last night. A last minute dash to a new Korean (no cute Korean guys there, how disappointing!) karaoke bar proved to be quite enjoyable. The rooms were brand spanking new i.e none of that dirty carpets, torn leather sofas, ugly blue walls. The mics worked amazing. The computer system actually played what you wanted it to play. The karaoke videos, although totally irrelevant to the music, was much easier on the eye - there were no skanky, slutty looking aunties, and none of those guys who looked like they were trapped in the 60s taking a row on some sampan in some pond. Instead, only korean chicks and some not so good looking korean guys flashed on the screen. ON TOP OF THAT... we had tambourines (!! plus they were the ones that had flashing lights when you shook them!) , a microphone stand, and a disco light in the room!!! Can't say I didn't enjoy myself. Unfortunately, no pictures of Paul and his performanceS! Next time!
