2006... new year, new beginnings31.12.05![]() Bloody hot is what it is! So, I must say that I'm looking forward to 2006. Not that 2005 has been a particularly bad year at all. It's just been a very quiet year of lazing around. I'm hoping that 2006 will be a little more exciting and life changing (?!). I intend to: 1. Get fit - no laughing, i'm serious!!! 2. Sit for, and pass my exams. 3. Dine at at least one new restaurant each month. 4. Holiday somewhere I've never been. 5. Get the house spick and span - this is subject to 1. above. I think I'll stop there. Don't want to be too ambitious on a hot day like this. Out with the old, in with the new.... Happy New Year to all! Ho Ho Ho28.12.05As I get older, I find my enthusiasm for celebration and festivities wane. I used to get all excited over the get-togethers, the food, the presents (of course!) and just the overall sense of the something special in the air. I still get excited nowadays, but only because festive seasons = holidays for me. I suppose being in a place where you can count the number of related family members with hand could have a contribution to that ever fading enthusiasm. This year for Christmas Eve, I had KFC and pizza - these two foods seem to top the list of items to bring for a last minute gathering. We ate, we drank, we played poker, we played mahjong, we were very holy indeed. Christmas was a little darker having had a small tiff with the boyfriend but there's nothing a little sleep can't cure.
I decided to join in the Boxing Day madness this year. It really is madness. Driving past the Gucci shop on Collins, there was a queue 30 people long just to get into the shop. Not something I've seen before. Sad to say, nothing I wanted to buy was on sale - but that didn’t really stop me anyway =). It'll be New Years soon. I believe I will be making some of those resolution things for 2006. I'll have them sorted by Dec 31, don't you worry. 24.12.05lhave yourselves a MERRY CHRISTMAS & a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! l

Last but not least, there's Lola, scoring 2 shots from the free throw line. All hail Lola. Sing sing sing a song7.12.05I must admit, we karaoke way too much. But according to the guys, it's the cheap way to drink the night away. I won't disagree, but then again, I don't drink. I'm learning a new song each time I go - a new Chinese song! For someone who can't speak and can't read, I'm doing pretty well! I can now officially sing like 4 Jay Chou songs - all thanks to the boyfriend influence =p.
Notice how pukeyPaul is in almost every picture!!! That monkey! 2.12.05
