new year, new beginnings

7.1.08

it's been a couple of months since i've written anything and i've gotten the occassional "What happened to you ??" Ran out of things to say after awhile i s'pose.

But with a new year, comes new beginnings. That's the positive note I'm starting my year on. I'm one of those people who likes to reflect back on the year that's gone past. Last year I said I was going to:
1. Travel - DONE
2. Learn something new - not done
3. To apply myself more in the kitchen - Semi-done, but now undone.
4. To pass one exam - DONE
Two out of four (four resolutions, now that was rather ambitious of me). That's a pass for me.

2007... bittersweet. a year of lessons learnt. That life is a story of possibilities. Some possibilities, never eventuating despite how much you will it to. But at the same time, impossibilities will find their way to creep up on you and surprise you. OK, that's all a little floaty and trippy.

2008... outlook so far... cloudy, with a glimmer of sunshine. It's looking to be a busy year. Weddings. Family stuff. A couple of trips hopefully. More studying. And lots of happy smiles :)
The family will be coming over in a few weeks. There will be an addition to the family in a few weeks. That will be lovely. It will be lovely having family around. Same continent, same timezone, same country, same area code, same room. I'm looking forward to this. *warm fuzzy feeling*
